When we lose teeth, the bone that holds the teeth in place will resorb. Essentially the bone goes away. One of the most effective methods to replace teeth is dental implants. Implants have revolutionized the dental world in recent years. They provide one of the most reliable methods to replacing a tooth or teeth that is missing. We do, however, require a sufficient amount of bone to be available to hold a dental implant in place.
Dr. Nawrocki and Dr. Richard Aguila appear frequently on First Coast News’ segment Dental Health Watch. Here they discuss the current issues and topics in dentistry. In this segment, Dr. Aguila discusses the options for bone grafting for the preparation of dental implants. This allows patients who once have lost bone to replace it and prepare for implant placement.
